Dr. Carlos Guerrero Silva

ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON AND TRAUMATOLOGIST - MD, PHD IN REGENERATIVE MEDICINE.

A surgeon graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Javerian of Bogotá, Colombia (1992). In his early career, he worked in the emergency department of important clinics in Bogotá, and later traveled to the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina (1996), where he pursued his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology.

Dr. Carlos Guerrero Silva, MD, received his medical degree from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia (1992), and completed his Residency in Orthopedics and Traumatology with special training in arthroscopic surgery and pediatric orthopedics at the University of Buenos Aires Teaching Hospital, “José de San Martín Clinic Hospital” in Buenos Aires, Argentina (1996-2001). He is a member of the SCOTT (Society of Colombian Orthopedics and Traumatology) and joined the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons in 2008. In 2020, he completed his PhD in Regenerative Medicine at the International University of Cambridge. In the same year, he obtained his certification as a FIFA doctor. Shortly after, in January 2022, he joined the American Board of Regenerative Medicine. In 2021, he received a diploma in Pain Medicine at the University of Rosario, and is currently pursuing a specialization in Medical Law and Bioethics at the same university.

He is a member of the Colombian Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Trauma (SCCOT), the International Society of Arthroscopy Knee Surgery Orthopedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS), and The Colombian Society of Shockwave Medicine (OCC). He is also a member of the Latin American Society of Knee Surgery and Sports Medicine (SLAOT). He is a member of the American Society of Regenerative Medicine and is currently undertaking the “Stem cells Fellowship” from A4M, of which he has been a member since 2017.

In 2014, he founded the Stemwell Regenerative Medicine Clinic and developed regenerative medicine protocols initially for pathologies related to orthopedics. After his doctorate, he expanded his protocols to include various neuromuscular disorders and the management of complex diseases. Currently, he is developing the SANAA project (Stemcells, ANtiagin, Arthrosis, Arthritis), which focuses on medical education directed towards patients in terms of treatment and education. The comprehensive protocols are accompanied by physiotherapy, laser therapy, cellular detoxification, pain reduction through hyperbaric chamber sessions, diets to lower inflammation, and processes using autologous or bank derived stem cells, all aimed at pain management and/or tissue regeneration as seen in neurological cases.
